You can't go wrong with Margaret but I also really like Margot/Margeaux. I think Margaret is a very classic name, so maybe another name that is similar in style? Patricia, Anne, Nancy, Katherine.. etc. I really like the combo Margaret Patricia (both are Irish names, I believe).

Of your choices, I prefer Margot. I like Margie better as a nn for Margaret. I also like Maddalena (not a typo, it's an alternate spelling of Magdalena) and Magnolia.

Margaret
Marguerite while I like pronunciation of this better, I can't help but think Margartia.
Margot/Margeaux makes me think maggot and Louisiana (LSU football) respectively.
As far as a mn, I want to pair Margaret with something shorter like Ann, Jo, Nicole, Lynn, Susan, Jane or Kate

Dido!
out of your list, i like margot the best, however, i don't like the nickname maggie for margot. i don't think margot warrants a nickname.
that said, i guess i'd go with margaret from your list, since it seems like you want to use the nickname maggie.

Margeaux!
Margaret or Margo. Margot looks like maggot, and that's what kids will call her.
Unless you're French, I don't see why you'd use Marguerite or Margeaux.
