First u/s!
So I had my first u/s today and it was mixed news...
The blob looks good so far. According to my ovulation chart I was 7w3d, now I'm back to 6w5d based on the baby's size. We saw the yolk sac, the embryo, and the heartbeat flickering away. She didn't tell me the heart rate - can anyone tell me if it's printed on the sonogram printout and where to look?
But, while the blob-baby looks good, apparently I have some blood clots in my uterus behind the fetal sack. She didn't seem too worried about it, just left me on the full pelvic rest during the rest of first trimester. She sounded really surprised to hear that I hadn't had any spotting at all. I'm supposed to go back in 4 weeks for a doppler, and then at 12 weeks she's going to do the blood test to tell me the sex of the baby and it's RH factor.
She didn't tell me anything else about the blood clots, just pelvic rest, so I did some reading and it sounds fairly common. I'll probably be a little more careful about exercise for awhile.
