Usually he pics out my gifts and does a great job. But this year I have several things on my "Wish List", so I've been e-mailing them to my MIL as I think of them, and she is keeping a file of all my wants! LOL!
Call us weird, but in 7 years of being together neither of us have ever given each other an xmas gift!
But.... our birthdays are exactly 17 days BEFORE and 17 days AFTER Christmas so we splurge more for our birthdays.
Our son is now 3 and we realize we're going to have to start giving gifts, otherwise it's sort of confusing for him. My husband hates to shop and is not creative, so I will certaintly be telling him exactly what to get, and the very latest moment he needs to have it purchased. lol
There should have been a 3rd choice, I tell him what I want and he gets me something else! So annoying since he will spend a lot of money buying me things I do not want - nice things but there are cheaper things I would rather get.
Jen - Mom to two December 12 babies
Nathaniel 12/12/06 and Addison 12/12/08
I picked A, but would have picked an even more anal choice if it had been available...I actually buy it sometimes! If it's something specific, and I'm standing in front of it in the store, there's no point in going home to write it down and make him go back out to the store to hunt it down. Plus, I'd much rather have him home helping me with the kids rather than out aimlessly shopping!! We have a strict (generous, but still strict in that I do NOT want to go over the limits we set) budget for Christmas this year, so I'm already doing our shopping and there are some things I really need/want for the house...so I'm buying them and storing them for Christmas! I'll still really love them on Christmas morning - he'll have to wrap them
