Probably TMI but HELP. Freaking out!

I just got into bed and I took my bra off and my areolas were stuck to my bra! I pulled it off and the skin came with it. Now they are a bleedy, weepy mess. My nipples are super sensitive! What the hell is going on? I am freaking out!

  • If that happened to me, I'd be calling my doctor! My nipples are very sensitive, but that has never happened. Maybe it's the material your bra is made of that caused it?

  • Ouch!! I haven't experienced any changes to my nipples but I'd say clean them and maybe some neosporin while you wait for other answers.

  • I've had this bra for 3 months and I've had no issues with it. I think I'll give my DR a call tomorrow.

ETA: Imthisbabysmama- I put some Lanolin on it. It says its good for dry cracked nipples (breastfeeding cream) with some clingwrap over top to stop it grossing on my t-shirt

  • You might replace the cling wrap with some non-stick gauze, if you have it.  Being breathable should help it heal faster.  But I would have done the same thing with cream and covering!

    due april 10th :))
  • Woah! That's crazy! Maybe your nipples had discharge and stuck to your bra? Whatever it was, I hope the pain stops, they heal, and you get some answers! Keep us posted.

  • Sounds like you may have Colostrum leaking a bit and it dried to your bra and got stuck.  Cleaning, moisturizing and covering sound like a good idea to me.  Then call the doc.  You're a little ahead of most so maybe come back and let everyone know what the doc said.  Feel better.

  • Holy sh!t!! I would definitely call the Dr. Good thing you had that lanolin though.
