Have you been constipated lately? If you have been and maybe it took a little straining, that could definitely happen. I wouldn't worry unless it continues and you're in pain when you go. It happened to me once, and then not again. Try maybe adding some more fiber, or even maybe a stool softener if you're having "issues" LOL.

I actually had this problem before concieving, but its gotten worse now. I struggle sometimes when going, and then almost feel like it ripped me, and there is blood on the tissue paper. I take stool softener a lot, this is the most painful thing Ive experienced
I agree with the other posters and i think you should try Colace (a stool softner...remember it makes it easier to go...doesn't make you go!) or a generic brand. If it continues and there's a lot, like the toilet is more red than pink, then i'd call your doctor.

I talked to a friend who had severe constipation while pregnant. She said power pudding works: apple sauce, prunes, and fiber (like Benefiber) go in the blender together. 1 tablespoon a day should help keep you regular.
I've just been adding more fruit to my diet and it seems to help. Colace does nothing for me at all...
