Going out in the cold weather and what to wear out

Does anyone recommend something for the carseat/or for LO to wear when we go out? I do not want to bundle the boy and have him snug in his car seat... I know they sell the things that wrap onto the car seats, but some say up to 21 lbs// My baby will be getting close to that by Dec I'm sure... What do you put them in?

    I've been wondering the same thing too.  My mom just ordered a snowsuit like thingy for my LO.  I guess I carry her in & out in that.  But I really don't know....

    I'm planning on having him in pants, socks, boots, a short-sleeved onesie, long sleeves and a jacket. If the jacket is too bulky, I'll carry him to the car in that and take it off in the car. One really cold days I will wrap him up in a blanket. I am also planning to use the infant seat as long as possible. I know it is getting heavy, but I think being able to place blankets over him inside and not have to worry about redressing him in the car will make the hassle worth it.
