So I think we're going to go with the Baby Jogger City Select. Does anyone have it already? Do you recommend it?
I currently have the Uppa Baby Vista, but the 2nd seat doesn't recline and you cannot use the bassinet with the 2nd seat.
I have been torn between the Britax B-ready and the City Select, but I think we're leaning towards the City Select because it seems like the two seats have more room than the Britax and the handle bar adjusts.
I was just wondering if you bumpies had any info that would be helpful.
Re: Baby Jogger City Select moms, please come in...
We went shopping recently and are leaning towards the Mountain buggy terrain - but I wanted to share what we learned about the Britax from the guy at the store. The strollers are basically the same price when you get all the items, so I thought this was interesting. On the britax the wheels are totally plastic - so it is not only a rougher ride - but there is no shocks or suspension so any bumps are REAL bumps, plus the wheels squeak quickly. If you push on the back of the seats, they are pretty hard, and that is what your baby is goign to be leaning against. it was also pretty massive even when folding up. Beacuse of the way it is built, I think we are moving away from the britax. Once there was weight in the stroller it was also not as easy to push.
If I remember, the Jogger City strollers have real wheels that you blow up - that is a longer lasting wheel - and if they pop you just take them to the bike shop to be fixed cheaply.
I have a friend that bought the Britax and was disappointed when one of her wheels cracked after two months and they told her that she would have to buy another wheel... for 75 bucks...
Right now Buy Buy Baby has their buy the stroller get the seat deal... but I would not buy a stroller just to get a free seat. Go play with them at the store - if you get a good sales person, they can make a huge difference and show you everything.
Good Luck!
This was me! I do not like the position of the 2nd seat below...you lose your storage space and the kids sitting there seem tight. As far as the other post about the wheels...the baby jogger is by far the smoothest and easiest ride. it is like the Mercedes of strollers! LOL I love our Baby Jogger City Select. I have set it up as a double before and absolutely love it. I had it w/the bassinet and infant seat, 2 seats, infant seat and regular seat. My family and DH's aunt/uncle gave us money to buy all the parts...we got the stroller w/seat, 2nd seat, bassinet, parent console https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=16958018& and this munchkin stroller bag/cup holder. I noticed the baby jogger one kind of is in the way if the child is facing away from you...it hits the back.So the munchkin one would work better. Most of the time I have DS facing me and have both on there and remove one if needed https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3872897
childrens snack tray (better than the belly bar in my opinion) https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=15910470& (I actually need to buy a second one), I would also like to get this cooler bag https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?SKU=15910429&
and if you have a 3rd you can get this

We have it in red w/the Chicco keyfit 30 infant seat and adapter also in red...I figured red is gender neutral and dark enough not to get dirty. I cannot rave about this stroller enough!! We decided on a single to double stroller when expecting DS since we planned to have #3 soon after (vs buying a single then and spending more money on a double a year later...not practical). If Buy Buy baby has the sale I would get the 2nd seat free for sure! I am super happy we got the bassinet. It came in handy so many times over the holidays last year when my family was in from Greece and I had impromptu sleepovers at my sisters or aunts house. It is also great for nice long strolls...they say a baby should not be in the infant seat for long periods of time (not good for their back...so no, no on those pack-n-plays w/the curved infant bassinet on top.)
I don't think I forgot anything.....other than BUY IT/REGISTER FOR IT!! Definitely WAY BETTER than the B-Ready
