A little prayer for peace of mind

My husband's company (Insight Communications) has recently been bought out with a cash deal from Time Warner.  He works for their corporate office as an accountant and there are only about 5 people in the whole company that work in his dept.  Tomorrow is that day that they will find out who will stay and who will go under the new company.  DH is convinced that the corporate guys will be the first to go because Time Warner already has those kind of people.  Please say a little prayer that this will all work out.  Whether or not he keeps this job, I just want to know that we will be secure when LO arrives.  I am scared to death of bringing a baby into the world with out the means to care for it.  Thanks for letting me vent and for thinking of us tonight and tomorrow!  I am soooooo anxious to hear the verdict!

Re: A little prayer for peace of mind

  • IF the worst happens, he may get a severence package or offered a lower position with Time Warner which may mean a pay cut. I know it's hard to find a good job right now as I am looking myself, but you would find a way to make it work.

It may mean cutting back on luxuries or your H working 2 jobs until he finds 1 good job.

I wish you lots of luck that he doesn't loose his job.

  • Many, many thoughts! I lost my job when pregnant with DD and it was the scariest time in my life. I hope that it will not happen to you guys and that things stay secure. Like BabysMom says he might be offered a lesser position and that is better than nothing for the time being.
i wish i could be joking but my dad is the music teacher at a church so he owuld be mad. we had sex, all the time how bad i know but we dont want to wait and he said GREAT OH KAY! and I was really feeling the wets? down there- too embarsed to say- but he acted like man.
  • Thanks guys!  I hope that it either works out or they give him ample time to keep working while he looks for something else.  The thing that sucks the most, is that he just got out of his public accounting job (where he had worked for 5 years) about 6 months ago to take this position.  I guess hindsight is 20/20 :)

  • I will keep you and your family in my prayers.  Are you in the Greater Cinci/NKY area?  If I come across anything I could let ya know.

  • Kasper:  Thanks so much for the offer!  We are actually in Louisville (not too far!)
