Ikea. It is sturdy and cheap. I buy paper at home depot or lowes. They have brown paper in the paint department for like $10 for 300 feet. It is thick and the paint doesn't leak through. I often get them a large piece and put it on the ground outside for them to paint together. They actually like that better than the easel, but it tapes easily to the easel and is wider than the paper that comes with it.
Melissa & Doug one is GREAT....it's expensive but around Black Friday it goes on sale (Amazon) - I've gotten it for my godson for his birthday & one of my nieces..I just bought it for DD for Christmas...it's sturdy too..I bought it for my godson for his 2nd birthday & he just turned 6 and it's still in great condition...and he (and his sister) still use it. HTH
We like out M&D easel, which we bought for DS's second birthday. DD went through a phase of climbing it, and the sturdy trays withstood 20+lbs of toddler!
