M/S ladies--Are you feeling better?

I am not as far along as many of you, so I wanted to believe (desperately hoping) that a couple of weeks makes a difference.

Have you started feeling better the closer to 2nd tri you get or are you still suffering?  I would LOVE to believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel for this 24-7 nausea

Re: M/S ladies--Are you feeling better?

  • I seem to be having good days and bad days. It's like it comes and goes this time, which is weird for me.

  • Mine started getting better last week...I got sick on friday but no actual nausea and then last night it hit me along with nausea this morning so I popped a zofran...but i'm hoping it's on the way to going away!

  • I am still having good days and bad days, although the good are starting to outnumber the bad. I felt fine yesterday but threw up this morning...

my mom told me that the nausea magically goes away at 12 weeks and I'm still waiting for that to happen!

  • I am just as far along as you. Last week I was feeling better and even had a couple of good days. This week it came back full force and so far this is the worst I have felt...I really hope at least the nausea starts to decrease a little soon, leaving on Sunday to go to Disney for a week.

  • I never had terrible m/s - only barfed once but was queasy a lot, but I had awful food aversions. Things started to get better between 9 and 10 weeks, although I'm not completely back to normal.

Hopefully they turn around for you soon!

  • Mine is just a tiny bit better.  I'm still having big food aversions, but not quite as nauseous.  I find that eating very small snacks/meals frequently seems to help the most - including eating RIGHT before I go to sleep.

I am also, however, now combating lactose intolerance, so I have also learned that cheese is not a good snack for me, especially at night.  It makes me feel really wierd, sick, nauseous at the same time =(.

  • Yes finally!  Sunday night I had a case of the barfs, but since then I've felt great!  I'm hoping it stays that way!

  • I started feeling a lot better around 10 weeks, and have almost zero symptoms at the moment. It's nice to feel normal again!
  • It's very sporadic.  One day I feel fine the next it's terrible.  The food aversions are awful...there is so much stuff that I used to love that just don't taste good at all.  I've also been having trouble sleeping as of late which is very unusual for me and is very much not fun. :-(.

  • I posted pretty much the same thing a week or two ago desperate for some hope- and I am happy to share with you that I am feeling better this week, 12 weeks!  Not 100% but definitely looking up.  Hang in there!
  • I stopped the B6 around 10 1/2 weeks and felt great for awhile, but the last 3-4 days have been AWFUL, I want to cry. I know last time it wasn't totally gone until 14 weeks, so I'm still hoping.

  • I feel like I can go a little longer in between eating now before I get sick than I could earlier on.  I am hoping this means it is starting to go away!

  • NO! I thought by now I'd be feeling much better. Last week I had 4 days in a row that were the worst- actually vomited a couple times and just felt like I was on verge of vomiting all day and night. Over the weekend I felt only a bit sick so thought- this is it! It's over! Then yesterday I woke up feeling horrible again.

I just can't wait to not feel sick and to want to eat healthy foods again! Not to mention having some energy... i would kill for a bit of energy...

  • I am feeling much better overall and can now eat veggies, again. I started feeling better right before I hit 10 weeks. I still feel sick when I wake up in the mornings because I am beyond the point of hunger but once I get breakfast down I am good. Then I notice I start to feel yucky before lunch and again before dinner. So I try to stay ahead of the hunger and I am much better!

I am 10 weeks and 2 days preggers today.

  • Much, thanks mostly to taking B6 2-3 times every day and eating smaller "meals" more often throughout the day. If I forget to eat or don't get enough water, I have nasty waves still but I just look at it as a reminder.

    Hope yours lets up soon!

  • I definitely feel better today than I did a couple weeks ago at this point. I have good days and bad days now, whereas before I had bad days only.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, for sure!

  • Let's see...

I'm 11 weeks this past sunday, so almost done with the first trimester, and I haven't thrown up AT ALL!

I've had nausea, sure, but no vomit.

I'm sooo happy because throwing up is just horrible to me :(

I still have food "aversions" and there's things that make me feel like if I breathe wrong or think of something gross then I'm done for and I'm throwing up. When that happens ( when I feel like I'm on the brink of throwing up) I just relax, and DON'T take deep breaths. I just sit back breathe normally and thing of something that I have to do that day or my baby (:

  • Thanks to the meds it's not as bad as it could be. I tried seeing what would happen if I quit taking them a week ago, and after 3 days of not taking them I spent the next morning not being able to keep anything down. So I'm taking them again. Even though I'm taking them I still have better days, or days that are worse. I guess it's just the way it's going to be.

  • I'm feeling better today then I have in the last 21/2 weeks but that is only because I felt like death for a LONG time. I still threw up today but it seems a little more manageable then it has...But I am still a very long way from normal. I CANNOT wait to get normal back!! I'm really excited to be able to enjoy food again...
