I want to start by saying that I have complete respect for the women on here who are doing this all alone. I know there are some single women and some with husbands who travel, and I think you're incredible for going through this by yourself.
The reason my husband is sweet is because he just got the call from his sister that she needs to go to the hospital (she's 36 weeks today), and no one will take her to the hospital. So he drove the half hour out to go get her to take her to the hospital. The baby daddy (recently turned trash bag husband) is "away" on work, despite knowing since Friday that she was going to pop any time. This is his 5th child and 2nd with my SIL, and he hasn't been there for a single birth. So now she's at the hospital with a breech baby that wants to come out, and no one is at the hospital except for MH. I'm assuming they can't find a sitter for her son, so her mother is stuck at home watching him. I would have gone, but we're not that close, and I've felt miserable all day. It just makes me feel happy that if MH is this supportive of his sister, I can only imagine what he'll be like for me.
Re: My sweet husband NPR (sort of)
sounds like you have yourself and amazing DH!
Best wishes to your SIL
I agree. I wish there was more I could do to help, but I have to go to work tomorrow, and I barely made it to work today I was so tired. He just left the hospital to run home and get his mom. He's going to stay at his parents' with his nephew while his mother stays with his sister at the hospital, at least until they know if it's going to happen tonight or maybe not until tomorrow.
