BLW and poop

We just started with BLW and yesterday he had carrots. Well today he had bits of carrots in his poop. like whatever he had in his mouth was now in his diaper. is that common? does it mean his system is not ready yet?

Very common!  How old is DS?  DD is 8 months old and we still see chunks sometimes.  In the beginning it's how we knew she was actually swallowing!

Totally normal AND a sign that he IS ready for food! One of the great things abou BLW is that your LO won't swallow food until they are ready, as opposed to with spoon feeding.

Thanks so much! DS is 6 months old. When I saw that I thought I had to stop and give him purees or hold off or something. Thanks for easing my mind

It's normal and it has to do with introducing foods so the body can make enzymes to break them down. You can keep giving them to him!
