I have been debating on buying a doppler or not. DH doesn't think that it's necessary at all..I on the other hand think that it would be awesome to hear baby's heartbeat every day. I started thinking....right now the heart beat would be awesome because I have no way of knowing that the little chickadee in there doing well. I know that in the near future, I will start to feel baby moving around - so that will be a good indicator to know that baby is fine.
To get to my question....how far along were you guys when you first started feeling your little one move around in there? and how often did you feel them?

Re: Question for 2nd time mommas...
1st - 16 weeks
2nd - 15 weeks
3rd - 11.5 weeks (zero amniotic fluid may have had something to do with it being so early)
4th (twins) - 22 weeks (anterior placentas delayed feeling movement)
Hard to remember, but it was probably 3-4 weeks after the 1st movements before I started feeling them really strong or consistent each time.
18w with DD.
I swear I'm feeling movement now with this one and it started around 11 weeks.
With DS I started feeling him around 17 weeks, but I had an anterior placenta with him, so felt him a lot less frequently than a lot of people feel thei babies.

Felt ambiguous flutters at 17 weeks, didn't know for sure what it was. Was confident it was baby at 18 weeks. DH felt baby at 19-20 weeks.

I would have to agree with this! I'm sure I would become obsessed!
I was about 17 weeks when I first the baby move.
I don't think I felt LO move until I was around 20-22 weeks along. They say that the second pregnancy and on mothers feel movement as early as 16 weeks because they recognize it better.
I am 10 weeks and 1 day preggers.
I never had a dopplar with my first and most likely will not with my second.
I started feeling her just after 18 weeks with my first and for a few weeks it was random and not real often but then it really picked up and I felt her pretty often after 20 weeks or so. I don't think a dopplar is necessary IMO. Just have to be patient!
