9 weeks pregnant, not really any symptoms?

I am currently 9 weeks 2 days pregnant and while I've had my share of feeling yucky, it hasn't been bad and barely there...The only way I could describe it is if I ate a bowl of mayonaise. I've had some minor food aversions toward chicken and some crampy stretching but everything is so minimial that I am starting to get nervous. I have seen the little bean on u/s at week 7 and the heartbeat was going strong and we will be going again this week but I am a nervous wreck. My boobs are alittle darker then usual, slightly heavier but otherwise nada!

Re: 9 weeks pregnant, not really any symptoms?

  • Consider yourself lucky.  With DS I was sick for the entire 40 weeks.  So far with #2, it has been worse.  I threw up 6 times yesterday and couldn't keep anything down.

Be careful what you wish for...

  • I listen to the h/b with the doppler probably every other day and it sounds amazing.  I had hardly any symptoms at all-no m/s, sore boobs very infrequently.  I just feel lucky and am enjoying the pg.  Good luck, hope everything continues on a smooth path for you.

  • I would just count your blessings. Some woman have very little symptoms.

  • I also have very few and mild symptoms.  Sometimes I wonder if everything is OK, but I too had a good u/s (10 weeks), so I'm trying to be positive and feel "lucky" like everyone keeps telling me.  My doctor wasn't concerned and I remind myself my pregnancy books all say some woman just don't get sick! I had two weeks around 6 weeks pregnant which I might describe as "nauseous" but was more like an upset tummy.  No vomiting whatsoever, not even close.  My boobs rarely hurt and are pretty much the same size (D's to begin with, so maybe little growth there isn't such a big deal either), but I've been extremely tired and have had RLP (round ligament pain) off and on.

I think we are OK, I know what you are feeling, though.  Our pregnancies don't fit into the mold of what we've always been taught to expect for being pregnant!

  • I have never had many symptoms with any of my kids. Usually, in the first tri, I'm tired, and have some food/smell aversions, but that's it. It's always hard to believe the first time around, but it really doesn't mean anything good or bad about how the pregnancy is going, just that we're super lucky.

  • I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way.  Everyone says to count my blessings and not wish for any m/s so that is what I am trying to do!

  • Trust me, I'm not wishing for any m/s at all! lol. I had a miscarriage late last October and an ectopic in March and this whole not feeling much of anything is bittersweet. I guess I am just nervous because of all we have already gone thru.

  • Same here, no symptoms at all almost 12 weeks. I look foreword to my appointment this week to hear the heartbeat for reassurance. It was the same with DS and it was a very nice pregnancy and he is very healthy. BTW I was in RI last night for waterfire, so fun!

  • I am having similar fears. I'm just not feeling very pregnant lately. Our 8w u/s looked great and baby had a strong hb, so I know there isn't anything to worry about, but I can't help feeling this way. We have our NT scan tomorrow, and I am hoping that will calm my nerves.

  • I understand what you mean about being a nervous wreck ~ but try to enjoy it. I'm 10 weeks today and have had minimal symptoms myself....but when I was pregnant with DD I was so sick from 6 weeks until 20 weeks, so as much as this pregnancy makes me a little concerned with the lack of symptoms I would far rather be here then hugging the toilet again for weeks on end....
