I thought I would see if I could find a pair of maternity pants, and I was so overwhelmed. All of it looks hideous and I'm worried I will be doomed to looking awful once I start growing. Ugh. I haven't tried going anywhere new, so maybe they have things organized better and things might look better?
Re: Maternity wear at the Thrift Store...
I feel like the thrift store might be full of older maternity clothes that people have worn through multiple pregnancies, making them worn out and out of style. It would seem overwhelming to sift through all of that to find a few good pieces.
Did you look on your local craigslist for people selling maternity clothes in 'lots' in your size? Or ebay? I noticed a friend was selling her clothes on facebook and ended up buying everything she had for garage sale prices, and it was all gently used and still stylish. GL to you. Retail price for maternity stuff is so outrageous!
I agree with this. It is very hard to find good pieces in thrift stores. Ours rarely ever have ANY maternity. It's harder for me to buy clothes from other people because I'm plus sized, but I can wear XL in "regular" sizes in some brands. It makes it tough to know if what someone has will actually fit.
I am just trying to hold off as long as possible and search for sales and coupons.
