I have heard the esty ones aren't that good and don't hold up in the wash.

Just a tip - you can get the brand name ones on eBay cheaper than in the stores. Just make sure they're still in the original packaging.

Well considering the one from Target fell apart, guess they are all crap?!

Huh... I wonder if that was a fluke? I've been wearing the same BeBand from Target since about this time last year (so probably at least 7 months) and washing it all of the time and it still looks brand new.
