help an Etsy virgin!

So many of you find all this great stuff on Etsy. How do you search for general items? There is one seller I like, but beyond that, is there any tips for more general searches when you don't have seller in mind?

There is a search box, just type something like "baby clothes" or "baby blanket" and it should come back with items that match your search. You can then click on a seller's name if you like their stuff to see their whole shop, or just go through the item listings.

I did try that, and it brought up sooooo many hits. Oh well, guess i just need to be patient and scroll through.

I just got my Esty cherry popped. It's overwhelming to navigate at first.

Oh, if you want it more "defined" try like Custom Onesie, you can always get less specific if you don't get enough results. I usually just search for exactly what I want even "giraffe wall decal" will come back with a few suggestions.

There will also be a list of sellers that match your search terms on the right. You can just click their names to see everything they make.

when i just want to browse for fun adn see what things i can find that i have never seen or wouldn't have been able to find before. i POUNCE things that have just been sold.. you wouldn't believe how much stuff i have found that way lol..

you just go to the etsy.com homepage and right under 'ways to shop' there is an option to POUNCE.. it will ask you if you want to pounce new shops or things that just sold.. i click items just sold and voila.. i keep pouncing until i see something i like..?

i found these through pouncing the other day.. aren't they cute?!
