*bellablue*

Hi there!  I saw your post below about you are still doing IV's at home?  I was wondering if you could tell me what happened.  I missed the backstory, sorry.  I only ask because I am feeling so dehydrated no matter how much I drink.  I've drank about 80 oz so far today and it's not getting better.  I've felt this way for a few days now.  My next doctor appt is on Tuesday so I'm trying to wait until then to bring it up.  TIA.

Re: *bellablue*

  • Sure, no prob. I started getting really sick about 4 weeks ago. Couldnt really eat or drink much at all and I have lost weight. I am a small person and I tend to get dehydrated really easily. So, the doc. put me on IV's around the clock and I also get zofran through my IV to help with the nausea. Are you keeping food and drink down? Any vomiting? If you are able to keep things down pretty normally then you are probably okay. Just keep on drinking if you feel the need because your body is probably telling you something. If you are concerned definetly mention it to your doc though. Hope that helps!

  • Thanks for the info.  I am keeping my food down and not vomiting, it just seems excessive how much I am drinking.  I chugged a big bottle of Gatorade when I first woke up because I felt so terrible and dehydrated.  I drank two glasses of water before I went to bed to try to help and it did nothing.  It feels like the water goes right through me and my body is not absorbing any of it.  I will just try to wait it out until Tuesday and keep on chugging until then.  Thanks again.
