Baby Shower Venues?

So, I am thinking about this because my mom isn't much of a planner and I would want to give her (and my best friend) a head start when it is time.  My mother in law is doing one on her side of the family, so it looks like my Mom will have to do one for her side and with my friends, coworkers etc.  I am wondering, and have been searching for ideas - on the cheap, but that wouldn't lessen the quality and fun.  I would have loved to have had a shower at a Tea Room but I am not sure what is in the area......

 Not sure if anyone knows of any great places, restaurants, tea rooms if any, all the way from Enfield - Meriden (where I live) that you could reccommend?

 Just gathering some ideas should any discussions pop up. Thanks
