Level 2 Ultra sound

What do they do during this?  I have one a week from tomorrow, and I am just wondering what to expect.  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks!

    My level II was similar to my 20 wk u/s. It was just a more detailed machine and they took more time with measurements, etc.

    Thanks for the reply, I've been looking into it all morning, on google, but I wanted some sort of experience over research.  Thanks so much, I was so nervous, now I think I'll be fine.

    It depends on why they're doing a Level II.  Like pp said, it's more detailed than a Level I.  I had a Level II w/ my ds b/c of a 2 vessel cord, and they were able to check the flow of blood through the cord as well.

    The reason I am having it, is because I have been on bed rest for a week due to high blood pressure, and they are going to be checking the little man out to make sure he is not stressed out by the situation.  I also had sterroid shots yesterday and Monday in case they have to deliver him early.  I am hoping to God everything turns out ok.  Right now they are saying he weighs around 3 pounds, so he is measuring ahead, which to me is good news.

    Ahh, I see.  Well, good luck.  I hope everything turns out well for you and your little (big!) guy!  Enjoy the u/s...it's very detailed and a lot more clear than your typical 2d u/s!

    No, it's a 2D u/s, but incredibly clear.  We got some great profile shots of my ds, and the tech was great about going over every inch of his body.  We even counted fingers and toes.

    Thanks so much for all your help!  I really appreciate it!  On our ultra sounds we've had (we have one about every 4 weeks due to the issues), and we know he has his ten little fingers and toes, it's really cool to see, now I'm even more excited to see him even clearer.  My mom is coming with me too, because DH can't get off work no matter what, so she'll get to see him too!  I am so excited!  Thank you so much!
