So Monday I posted about a slight bright red spotting. Tuesday it was just normal brownish discharge and from what I've read on here that's normal and expected for some. Well...Wednesday I FINALLY get a chance to go to the bathroom at 11:30 (I teach high school) and i look down and see basically AF like blood. Being my first pregnancy I'm obviously freaked out. I call my doctor and she tells me I needed blood work stat. The problem...I work an hour away from the doctors office and I don't know of any places to get it done by work. So I left work quickly (trying NOT to freak out my coworkers but that didn't work at all) and drove about as fast as humanly possible to get my blood work done and then to the hospital for ultrasound.

The doctor said that my beta levels are at 31 (very very low) and I'm going to do more bloodwork on Friday and the hopes is that my levels at least double. If that happens it's a baby and the bleeding is just "normal" (cervix can be sensitive and vascular/prone to bleeding). If not...it's a miscarry.

So please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. The annoying part is I won't know my results until MONDAY! Ugh!! Now to rest today and think positive thoughts.

It would be sooner but because the blood will be taken Friday afternoon they won't be able to process it until Monday. So frustrating. I'm just going to stay as positive as possible. I took the day so that I could relax today.

Its such a scary thing to go though. You and I are both 5w5d along and I have the same thing going on. I keep telling myself that it's normal and evrything is going to be ok. I got blood draw on Tuesday and mine were in the 500's (kind of low but its still early) so I got more done today. She said she would call me when she got the results. Im sure we are both fine. Please keep us posted! Good luck!
