Also posted on 1st tri board. After work today I'm heading north to upstate Maine for my best friend's wedding.  It's about an 8 hour drive tonight & another 4 hours tomorrow.  Do I need to worry about stopping a lot tonight to walk around??  Or is that only for PG ladies prone to clotting?? I'll be away & busy the next 4 days...I will miss chatting with you ladies!!  I will return a double digit weeker & a prune- can't wait

I am sure that you will have to pee on your way up there a couple times and I would just stretch and walk for a few minutes to be safe. 

 Where is the wedding? My husband's family has two houses on coastal Maine. It is so beautiful up there.

The wedding is actually in the north of Maine- aroostock county (potato growing country!)  But we had the Bachelorette party in Rockland on the mid-coast and it was absolutely beautiful!!

Like pp said you're going to have to stop to pee and may e gets gas and dinner and snacks anyway so just stretch your legs, maybe every three hours. I was born out in the sticks in Maine.

Holy crap. I'm in central Maine (Augusta area). I can't believe you're going to The County for a wedding! That is UP there.

I don't think you NEED to walk around but you might want to stop and take breaks and go pee and stuff. That's just normal.

Sounds like fun!  I agree with all pp that you'll probably be stopping to breaks a few times along the way but maybe bring a pillow and sit in the back seat for a while with your feet propped up.  Have Fun!!

I just came back from vacation that was planned 6 months ago....and it was a 9 hour road trip back.  OB told me to make sure to stop once every hour and get out and walk around.  I am not prone to blood clots that I know of...

Augusta is where I'll be staying tonight!!  About 8 hours from here in the catskills of New York.

Your going stop to eat and go the that bathroom.  So i am sure that you should be stopping enough.  Just dont rush to get back in the car.  Take a few mins to walk around some.
