Gift Exchange - to wait or not to wait: Clicky Poll

So since it's been mentioned a few times.. and just because we are having a clicky poll about it doesn't mean that we are going to wait.. Just wanted to see what the majority think.

I voted to wait until we know the sex... but even if we don't do that I've mentioned in the other post that I think we should wait until everyone is in the 2nd trimester just in case. Maybe I'm extra sensitive to this because I'm at a high risk for m/c... but I'd hate to receive a onesie from one of you girls and then experience a loss. 

Does anyone agree?

I think it would be cool to do it soon and maybe do it again later once we all find out the sex.  I don't really care either way though. I think this is a really cool idea!

I agree to wait too, I really really really want to buy a gender specific one if I can. Those onesies are just sooo cute!!

I agree with this. We can do one right now with just a gender neutral onesie right now and see how the gift exchange works out. Then maybe do a christmas exchange with a gender related gift if everything goes well with this one.

We have to buy all new stuff since we gave away everything after #4...we weren't expecting a #5 and in our family you only get a shower for #1 so we will have a lot of expenses. I will probably only be able to afford to participate in one swap so I would prefer to wait until after people know what they are having or at least until everyone has safely made it to the 2nd trimester.

Just wondering if you agree with waiting until everyone is in the 2nd trimester? Which would be about another 4 weeks. I don't mean to be a party pooper but if we're not going to wait until the 2nd tri then I probably won't participate this time around... just because my pregnancy is so day to day right now.

I think we can wait till 2nd tri if thats what everyone feels comfortable.

I think we could maybe do a different type of exchange now? Maybe a small baby toy?

Either way i'm so excited for the exchange i'll definetly participate

I thinking waiting until the 2nd trimester is a good idea, I don't think waiting till 20 weeks is, I will have to go in and change the dates on elfster if we do that.  Maybe we should have an exchange for people that want to do a onesie after 12 weeks and then another after 20 and people who waited because of the sex thing can join that one.  I think it is fun to get little things in the mail so I would like to do it soon.

I'm in this camp as well. I'd prefer to wait as well and don't know how many exchanges I will be able to participate it. I'm signed up for this one, but I don't know that I'd be able to do others.
