What do you think of this name?

My husband is the IV so when we had our son, he wanted to keep the tradition and name him V (which we did).  Now he has given me full reigns on naming our next child.  If it is a boy, I'm thinking of naming him after me.  My name is Jennifer so I thought we could call him Jennson.  Get it?  Son of Jenn?  What do you think?

I don't really like it, but that is just my opinion. What about another "J" name. James, Jeffrey, Joseph?

It reminds me of the word "jettison."  I am also getting images of The Jetson's.  Not a fan.  I think you could find something else.

I don't like it. I also don't like naming children after the parents. I would think naming them the name that you love would be enough.

What do I think?  I think it's pretty awful and made up.  Why not just Jensen?

Or better yet, give the kid his/her OWN name.

Kind of cheesy.  And confusing, imo, if your husband and DS#1 have the same name and you and DS#2 are both "Jen----".  Would your maiden name work?

I don't think Jenson (spelling I prefer) sounds made up at all.  I think it is a cute name.  BUT I wouldn't use it if I were you.

Not a fan. I like pp's suggestion of trying to use your maiden name.

That's pretty corny. As people have suggested, use your maiden name as a middle if possible.

Sorry but Jennson is awful.  It sounds very unimaginative even for a made up name.  If you do decide to do it, please use Jensen. It's the proper spelling and doesn't sound like you are being blatantly obvious.

Was also going to suggest it. It's actually on my shortlist.

However, I also agree with a PP that since both your DH and DS#1 have the same name, it might be a bit awkward for both you and DS#2 to have such similar names.

What about using a different "J" name?

I'm Jennifer as well and I considered it myself. But with one n. Jensen. I like it. DH doesn't, so it's a no for us.
