Do you feel its unethical? In America do you feel it would lead to more abortions? Should it at least be used for those who undergo genetic testing in lieu of an amnio or other more invasive tests?
I think they're completely unnecessary (because an u/s) is pretty accurate nowadays, but I wouldn't say they're unethical for use in the US. However, in a country like China that prefers male children over female, then yes, I think it'd be unethical because it'd lead to more abortions because of the sex of the baby.
Yea I like it used as a prescription there are many genetic diseases that only harm a certain sex, so they preform and amnio and instead they could do this test which isn't invasive. I hear they use it overseas as part of routine medicine. Pretty cool though they can tell at 7 weeks with such a high success rate!
