LH Surge and OPK question... yes, again!

Sorry, I know we get these questions all of the time, but I have yet another OPK question.

Okay, so if I get a + OPK for more than a day or so, do you go by the last + and count 12-36 hours, or from the first?  I know you should also be checking CM and temping.  I don't temp for numerous reasons (but may start next month, as it will be cycle 6) but I do check CM.  Just wondering what to do with more than a day of + OPK.

I think you would count from your first + .  The test is designed to catch the surge and say that 12-36 hours from the + you may ovulate.  That is just my guess though.

Really?  I would of thought you count 12-38 hours from the first time you get the positive.

Good question.  If I'm not mistaken you go from the first OPK you get because that's marking beginning of the surge.

Thats how I have always understood it.  I have never heard you go from the second + OPK because some people don't even get two +

Thats how I have always understood it.  I have never heard you go from the second + OPK because some people don't even get two + 

If you only get one there is no issue. It's when you are getting more than 2 that things get a little fuzzy.

I'm only asking just in case, but I did just get a + this afternoon, woohoo!!!  So my plan is to HIO as much as possible over the next few days, especially if I get another +.  I didn't get a definite + last month, and the month before I had two + days in a row.  Wonky.
