Waterproof mattress pad

Hmm... I didn't think I needed one of these since the mattress is waterproof but after seeing posts on them, I'm starting to think I do?

I'd think you'd want a waterproof barrier, mostly so you don't have to deal with cleaning/drying a mattress in the middle of the night.

I had the same thought and then over the weekend we were a Meijer found a really good one for $15. DH has been worried about my water breaking in bed and no matter how many time I tell him that if it did that it most likely wouldnt leak on the bed he still was freaking out about. Well the moral of my story is that it is a good thing we did get one and put it on that night because our older dog was put on a 3 day round of allegery meds and he was a little high and peed on our bed ... thankfully the pad was on there. It is worth the investment i think because what if you are changing the baby and there is a little accident....
