We were all excited that the new house has a double garage, but one side of it has a stair well (like three steps) to the door that was built too wide for the 2nd car to fit. WTF? Also, we have all the trash cans, the lawn equipment, our bikes & the extra fridge out there, so I guess the 2nd car wasn't going to fit unless we get a shed anyhow.
At the moment it's the kid's temporary playroom until the basement if fixed (thanks to Hurricane Irene our basement flooded and we had to rip out the carpet and half the drywall).
Once the basement is back together, the cars will be back in the garage. We have the lawnmower, recycle bins and storage stuff up on shelves, but the cars fit. All of my neighbors seem to have everything but cars in their garages (and leave the door open) which drives me bonkers.

That would drive me bonkers too!
