The week before last was really tough, for a number of reasons. One being the fact that we recently hit the one year mark, and I decided to make the call to my OB/GYN for an infertility (yes, had to use that word for the first time) appointment. Here's how it went.
I brought all my charts and had a couple of things I wanted to address. We've already had CD3 b/w and a SA done (both looked great), but I want to also make sure anatomically everything is looking good (HSG) and that my progesterone levels are high enough in my luteal phase (7DPO b/w). She agreed with those and also suggested that we move in the direction of starting Clomid. (I also asked about some nipple discharge that I had been having, but she said that seemed normal for the small amounts I was noticing after O.)
So, when CD1 comes around, I will call for a CD3 u/s to see if I am cyst-free and ready for a medicated cycle, Clomid CD5-10, as well as an HSG before I O.
I'm so relieved that we have a plan. I never thought when we started TTC that we would still be trying a year later or that I would be moving towards medicated cycles. I didn't think I would be ready for that, but after the 1 year mark, I definitely am. I wouldn't say I'm getting desperate to get pregnant by any means, but I'm ready to move on to something that will give us better chances.
Wish me luck, ladies Hopefully, this appointment was a pep talk for my ute to make things happen this cycle! If not, we are excited to get started on our next phase of TTC.
ETA: How could I forget to add: I'm excited to get DA EXTRA BOOST!
Re: "I love it when a plan comes together."

Congrats on having a plan & I wish you the best of luck.
Thank you for sharing your story. My one year mark will be October, & I have made an appt with my OB/GYN. I am nervous about it & a little bit in disbelief that it has reached this point. Just making my appt for reasons of "infertility" felt a bit...surreal. But, here we are.
GL into your new phase of TTC & please keep me updated.<3
