Wednesday night my son was holding a fake baby bottle and asked what it was. I told him a bottle and then he told me it is for babies to drink milk. Now I prefer him to think that babies drink milk from their mom, so I said that babies also drink milk from their mommy's nipples. He said, "huh."
Yesterday my DS (3) was in the shower with me (yeah, we need to work on him NOT doing that anymore). He looks up at me and says, "Mommy your nipples are bigger." How do you respond to that??? I said, "Really?" DS says, "Yeah, it's cuz there is a baby in your tummy." Now I NEVER told him that breasts change during pregnancy, so I thought it was pretty insightful for him to make that connection! Weird conversation though....
