Children's Place sizing - toddlers to boys

I'm trying to order SS some clothes online, and while he's always been very predictable in moving up sizes, I'm not sure about the transition from toddler to boys. Are 4t and 4 pretty much the same? The next shirt size is 5/6 and that SOUNDS big. But he had 1 sweater from there last winter that was a boys 4, and it fit fine then so I don't think it will this year. What is your experience?

  • It seems to me that he 4s are a little longer than the 4Ts.  For some reason, DD's 4T pants are too short, but she fits her size 4 pants just fine.  As for shirts, they seem to fit the same.

So if I expect him to move out of 4t tops soon, I sould get 5/6 over 4?

If you need to go up for length, I would try a 4.

  • Thanks to both of you! He is rarely with me to try things on, so I feel like I'm taking a gamble here!

  • Oh man, I'm sick just thinking of the boys moving out of the toddler section. Right now, they wear the 4T shirts, so I'm guessing by next summer they'll be in the boy section.
