Punkin Needs a New Name

OK, I have about 6 girl names picked out for my future daughter, but I cannot for the life of me come up with a name for our new cat. Ladies I need your help!

My friend is moving out of the country and I am taking in the cat she rescued last year. She is a precious, long hair, calico type with peach, white and brown fur - and big gold eyes. She is currently called "Punkin" but doesn't answer to her name. It has not been her name since birth since she was a rescued stray. I'm sorry - I just can't call her Punkin.

I have two other cats at home. JoJo is a black, medium hair male and Lily is a white/tan long hair female. I prefer my animals have human-like names - no socks, pepper or truffles.

Names I am currently thinking of are Betsy, Molly & Pippa. I am trying to paste in a picture - let's see if this works.

I am open to your suggestions.

    Bahahahaha.

What about a play on the word calico? Callie, Ceecee, Caliope etc.

  • I also like Caliope. It's whimsical like her fur. Let us know what you decide!

  • I would definitely go with Callie if I didn't already have a LIly. They sound too similar and my Lily does know her name and answers to it. Or she knows the sound of it. She would probably answer to Callie too. For that reason, I am taking Molly off the list too.

I do like the suggestion of Stella though - adding it to my list.

  • My vote is for Pippa. I like it for a cat. My last cat, who is no longer with us, was Cleo.
  • Looks like a Charlotte or Betsy to me.
  • My friend has cats names Stella and Sophie

  • Out of the three you are thinking, I think she is a Pippa!
  • As a follow-up, I named her Ruby Tuesday.

    Thanks for your suggestions!
