I had my blood drawn for the 1st trimester screen today and my NT u/s is scheduled for September 28th. I was a little irritated that they still hadn't done my routine blood work, which I pointed out to the nurse. She was surprised it hadn't been done, but she drew for the blood type and immune status (hepatitis, rubella, etc) while she was at it.
I'm soooo tempted to order a doppler in the meantime. This waiting between ultrasounds is killing me! Doppler users, do you love being able to hear the heartbeat anytime or freak out when you can't find it?
Re: 1st trimester screen - part 1 completed
First off, I'm sorry about the bloodwork run around.
I haven't gotten around to getting a doppler yet, I rented last time. Using one helped me feel less freaked out about everything. Even when I couldn't find dd's hb I wouldn't freak, I would step away for a half hour or so and try again. Usually I could find it if I looked long enough.
I found it very comforting to have with my last pregnancy.
