Elf is also my favorite Christmas movie   I also love The Grinch (both cartoon and live-action).  And Home Alone 1.  And White Christmas and Holiday Inn.  And really any Christmas movie ever made.  It's A Wonderful Life used to depress me, but now I like that one, too.
