Did your doctor really want you to try to deliver vaginally (assuming you haven't had a prior c-section of course). Both of my babies are head down (which I'm happy about of course) but I'm also worried that I won't be given a choice if they are both head down. I'm thinking I want to try a vaginal delivery but some days I think I want a c-section to avoid an emergency situation.

Re: If both of your babies are head down......
My babies were breech or transverse for most of my pregnancy so I had already scheduled a c/s for 38 weeks. When the babies turned head down at 33 weeks I thought about possibly going for vaginal, but then my water ruptured at 34 weeks without me going into acitve labor so we decided on the c/s anyway since infection was a possibility. I also didn't want to deal with ending up with an emergency c/s or the double whammy. My OB gives the option for elective c/s in all cases anyway I think.
Good luck!

Both babies were head down and I wanted to go vaginally so we never really had the discussion. I delivered in the OR just in case baby B flipped once baby A was out, she didn't but she did turn faceup. I am no doctor but I think that if you can avoid a surgery you should.
I am no hero and definitely had an epidural but I wanted the most natural/ normal birth possible, just my opinion- not that you asked
No I feel the same way as you, I like opinions. I just also hope I do have some say in the situation also. I've already had one successful delivery and I think I could do it again but then I hear stories of people having one vaginally and one emergency C and that scares the crap out of me.

My OB told me it was completely up to me. She said obviously c-sections are faster but that she was behind me 100% with whatever I wanted. I preferred a c-section (I didn't want a double whammy and my son had decells on NSTs previously and flipped a lot, he was baby and ended up with an emergency one.
That said, I couldn't care less how I delivered. Whatever was safest for the babies was how I was going to do it.
both my babies were head down the entire time. my doctors never offered me a c-section.
i had a wonderful birthing experience and i am glad that my doctors encourage vaginal birthing. it was very quick and recovery was easy.
I really wanted a vaginal delivery if at all possible. I did switch practices at 31w but my OBs (especially at the first practice, which was very high-intervention) would have all been fine with me choosing a C-section.
I ended up with a vaginal delivery but since Baby B flipped to breech at some point during labor, he came out by breech extraction.
Mine told me it was up to me.
I chose to have a c/s.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I chose a care provider based on their support of delivering twins vaginally, so I don't know that the question would have come up. Much to my dismay, my baby A was breech, so I didn't get a choice.
My vaginal birth was a much faster recovery than my csection, and much better baby cuddling time afterwards.
I was given the choice, but my OB strongly encouraged a vaginal delivery if Baby A was head down and larger than Baby B (she was fine delivering B breech if she was smaller than A). I very much wanted (and was able) to deliver vaginally, but had mentally prepared myself for an emergency section or double whammy the best I could.
Good luck!
mine were both vertex. I wanted a vaginal delivery and made that clear from 12 weeks (when they turned down) on. They never flipped once, so there was never another discussion.
I had a complication-free induction and the babies were both healthy.
Had I insisted on a c/s they would have probably listened, however with twins my OB likes the mother to deliver vaginally if possible and they are not opposed to doing a breech extraction (and have a lot of experience doing so).
