She knew when she was in something that would hold pee (like training pants) and when she was in something that wouldn't (like underwear). If she knew it would hold pee, she treated it like a diaper, no matter how easy it was to pull up/down.
I bought one pack of disposable training pants and they were a complete waste. An entire stash of cloth training pants would have been even more of a waste.
