Babies on the Brain

FF question

I'm just starting to chart on FF...

regarding taking your temp every day - do you all do it at the same exact time very day or is it okay to just do it when you wake up - even if it's an hour later than other days?

I get up at 4:30am 3x a week to work out and the other two days I sleep in until 5:30...  should I get up, take my temp at 4:30 and go back to sleep or is it okay to just take the temp at 5:30?

What do you do on the weekends?

I'd like to be as accurate as possible - but didn't want to get up every day at 4:30am if I don't have to!

thx!!

wendy

Re: FF question

  • You need to take it at the same time or it won't be accurate.

  • You need to do it at the same time every day for it to show a clear pattern.  Make sure you're not getting out of bed to take it, either.  I keep my thermometer and a notepad on my nightstand, pop the therm in and write my temp down before rolling over and going back to sleep.

  • Instead of being lazy, read the tutorials.
  • Thanks for the response!  I did take my temp in bed before I got up to work out - I'll keep the pen/paper there and just get up at 4:30am - maybe it will motivate me to just get up and work out more often!

As for the "lazy" comment - I work full time and have two kids - just looking for some advice, trying to make this work...

Um, we're all busy but we took the time to figure out how it works.

  • I set the alarm for the same time every day, even on weekends.  I take my temp, then go back to sleep if I can.  Its really important to take it at the same time.  I try to let mine only vary by 5 to 10 minutes at most.  GL.
  • I just set my alarm for the same time everyday.  I usually just roll over and go back to bed after.

I can't imagine getting up at 4:30 to work out.  I can barley get up at 6:30.

If you don't have time to read a SHORT tutorial, maybe you don't have time to raise a third child. Or, maybe you're being lazy. Your call.

  • take it at the same time.  Set your alarm and then go back to sleep on the days you don't have to get up at 4:30
