1st Trimester

7 weeks and feeling great

I just found out last week that I am 7 weeks and I have no symtoms.  I am making myself anxious awaiting all the symptoms everyone keeps telling me that I am going to have:(

Re: 7 weeks and feeling great

  • I'm at 6 weeks. I have been told the symptoms come and go and some lucky people don't have many at all! I have days where I feel fine and others where I want to vomit in the nearest bucket while putting a heating pad on my back that feels like I tried to lift a Buick.

  • Lucky You! :) I felt my worst around 6-7weeks. I was always queasy and tired and the slightest smells made me want to vomit! Then my symptoms went away and I freaked out thinking something happened to the baby! But...Now I am 10 weeks and 2 days and I feel GREAT!!! I am still tired but no longer queasy, now I am just HUNGRY & THIRSTY ALL THE TIME!!! But I will definitely take this anyday over queasy. :) so, I say, as long as you know the baby is okay, ENJOY IT! :)
  • I'm 12 weeks and 1 day along and I still feel great! I'm counting my lucky stars! Everyone is different, so what one person may feel, another person may not.. Good luck!

  • I am 7 weeks as well and feel great for the most part... it comes and goes. I think I've had 3 days where I can say that I didn't feel good. You must be eating and sleeping enough! Just keep it up and feel good!

  • Pregnancy affects everyone differently and it's completely normal to not have symptoms.  They might show up in the next week or two or maybe you're in the clear.  I barely had any symptoms with my first and I've had even less with this pregnancy.

  • I haven't had too many symptoms either and was wondering if I was in the minority?  I've just been more tired and my breasts are sore.  I keep bracing myself for morning sickness but so far so good.

I'm about 8 weeks (by my calculations)...my first doctor's appointment isn't until Friday.

  • I keep expecting ridiculous morning sickness but I've only been nauseated twice and that was when waking up...I was starving and just didn't feel very good.

Other than that I only have sore breasts and bloating! Yay! You aren;t in the minority....

P.S. an OB friend of mine told me that there are links to low saturated fat diets and less existence of morning sickness symptoms....that describes my diet so don;t know if maybe that has something to do with yours as well?

  • Thanks everyone...I feel better reading everyone's comments.  I was beginning to think I was the odd man out.  I have had sore breast and some bloating but nothing to complain about.  I hope it is my diet (I do shoot for a low-saturated fat).

My doctor's appt. is not until Oct. 5 but according to my calculations I am 7 weeks.  I should be fairly close.

  • Congratulations! With pregnancy and birth, you mostly only ever hear the bad things. I had a wonderful pregnancy / delivery the first time around, you will probably too! GL!

  • So jealous of your lack of feeling queasy!  I'm just entering week 7 and have been really sick all day long for the past 5 days.  I'm a pretty active person with a pretty good diet, so it's been strange to adjust to feeling ill all day.  I broke down today and called my doctor who prescribed Zofran so I can function at work.

Good luck and enjoy the lack of non-fun pregnancy symptoms!
