Officially in maternity clothes

My sweet mother took me shopping this weekend and bought me several pairs of pants, a dress, and some tops.  Pants and skirts had just gotten too uncomfortable in the past few days.

Maternity pants are awesome.  I may never wear pants with buttons again.

Re: Officially in maternity clothes

  • I'm starting to worry... My pre-pregnancy clothes still fit exactly the same. I don't think I am ever going to show :(

  • We went shopping yesterday, too!  We only got two tops and two bottoms because I can wear some clothes with the help of my BeBand.  I'm just so excited to finally look cute again!

  • That's so sweet of your mom! I dug out all my maternity clothes this weekend and NONE of them fit me yet. But I can't wear my normal pants anymore, I really hate this in-between stage!! I have to add that my pre-pregnancy weight was lower this time than with DD, so hopefully I'll grow into them in a couple week's time. I LOVE maternity pants, they're so comfy!
  • You guys are cute! I personally cannot stand maternity pants or clothes, but I think it's because I just got so sick of them all! But elastic waist bands are pretty nice:) I didn't start wearing maternity pants until 25 weeks last time (loved my beband), but I'm 12 weeks now and worried that I will have to make the move soon!

  • I took out the two boxes with my maternity clothes from my last pregnancy and I need to try them on. I've already worn a pair of capris and a skirt. We're going to Ireland on Friday and it'll be too cold there for shorts (I still semi-fit in regular shorts), so I'm digging out all my old mat. jeans and pants for the trip.
  • My mom and dad flew in last weekend to visit and decided to bring me on a maternity clothes shopping spree. I felt so blessed and touched, maternity clothes are in my opinion SO comfy - but they are not cheap. Thank God for parents!
And do you notice how they accentuate your bump? I started having a lot more comments on my bump once I started wearing maternity clothes.

  • I agree 100%  I am not sure I'll ever wear normal pants again.  They are soooo comfy.  I only got a few pairs.  My MIL and I are going shopping at the beginning of October.  So I only got two pairs of pants and a beband to help with the pants that still make it over my a$#.  and a bunch of tops which was the hard part for me.  All my pre pregnancy tops were fitting so strange.

  • I've been wearing my belly band with jeans for a few weeks, but the belly band just doesn't hold up dress pants and skirts needed for work.  I was so uncomfortable in my skirt on Friday, that I unzipped it a little.  I had a long shirt on, so nobody noticed.  And at dinner on Saturday night, I unbuttoned my pants at the table.  I just couldn't take it anymore!

I'm barely showing, but my belly is hard and it hurts up against a solid waistband!

  • All of my pre-pregnancy clothes were very tight fitting in the waist, so I've been in maternity for a few weeks. It's so comfy I never want to wear regular pants again!

  • I went out last weekend and bought some maternity pants and I am in love!!!! I initially bought some online from Gap and Old Navy and they were all terrible.  I ended up going to MM and could not have been happier.

I really wish my mom/ MIL would take me shopping and pay for this new wardrobe thought!!!

  • Maternity clothes are great! I recently started showing and had to start wearing my maternity clothes. I had to buy new ones, because I gave all mine away after I had my son (I thought we were done). I love the elastic waist of them.

Don't worry!  :)  With my first, I was in my regular clothes until about 20 weeks.  I remember going to BRU after we found out we were having a girl and someone questioning if I was really pregnant because I just wasn't showing.  I was so annoyed!  But, I got what I wished for because I ended up huge at 41 weeks and DD weighed 8lbs 15oz.  :)
