3rd Trimester

Baby may be coming earlier than expected!

Went to the doc yesterday and had our last ultrasound. Baby Dylan is weighing in at 5lbs 6 oz! He is already head down and in position. Doc says he expects me to go maybe around 38 weeks instead of the full 40 which is excellent news to me, bring it on! lol Everything else looks good, we got to see him move all around and he, of course, flashed us again so we are definately sure its a boy lol.

Just had to share my excitement, thanks!

Party!!!

  • Congrats, sounds exciting.

  • I wonder why doctors tell PG women stuff like this.  It seems silly to get their hopes up when there is nothing an u/s can tell you that indicates when you will go into labor.  In fact, an internal exam can't even tell you when you will go into labor.

I was 2cm dilated at my last appointment and my doc said, could be tomorrow, could be in a month...you just never know.

  • That's great!  Glad everything looks good!
  • Well geez jilly, nothing like rainin' on my lil parade! I know nothing is for certain, but it is still exciting to think about. This is a happy post, so take your not-happy response outta here Stick out tongue
  • Congrats! Very exciting! Hope your doctor is right!
  • I hope your doctor is right, but just don't get frustrated if he or she is not, and you go past that 38 week mark.  I was dilated at a 3 and 80% at 38 weeks...and I'm definitely still pregnant.  It's frustrating when you know info like that, and then you sit around twiddling your thumbs just 'waiting'.  For your sake, I hope they are on target!

  • It's great know that your body is getting ready, but it was silly of your doctor to even tell you that.  All it will do is set you up for frustration if you don't go when he "thinks" you should.

There's NO way to tell when you'll go into labor.  Seriously, don't get your heart set on 38 weeks.
