I was bought 3 cloth diapers as gifts while I was pregnant, 2 blueberry ones with a couple of inserts each and a fuzzibunz one.
I have NO idea how on earth you use them, I'd like to start but they don't come with any instructions and none on the website either! I've watched a cloth diapering video but they didn't have the same ones as me. It looks like you insert the insert thingy in the pocket of the diaper, but then when baby poops do you wash the whole thing?
Please forgive my clueless-ness, I promise you I've googled my question a
bunch of times and I'm still just as confused, I have had about 5 hours
of sleep in the past 3 days so that may well have something to do with
it!
Re: Total newbie, with no idea how to start CD-ing
Please read the FAQ at the top of the CD board. It sends you to resources to show you what to do and the differences among the diaper types.
The diapers you have are pocket diapers. You put the insert(s) into the diaper and put it on the child. When they pee/poo you put the whole kit and caboodle in the wash.
What are you using other than these? Disposables? Just curious.
Yeah just disposables, I'd really like to get into CD-ing though, it seems much better on many levels.
Before we started CDing, a local company set up a free private CD consultation for us and went through all the different types of diaps, how to use them, how they're washed, the pros and cons to certain brands/styles/materials etc...
It was SUPER helpful and gave us the confidence to go cloth.
