Jungle Nursery- Thanks Mom!

So my mom and I were talking and since we're team green my mom was asking what we were going to do for the nursery.  I said we like jungle but finding good gender neutral stuff is hard and I figured we would just wait until baby comes and then buy either girl jungle or boy jungle bedding.  My mom (who is a phenominal seamstress) suggested she look for fabric and make our nursery for us!  YAY!  I was secretly hoping she would do this for us since she did it for my sister and my sister's nursery was AMAZING, but I didn't want to ask since my mom is a teacher and the school year just started and I know she's super busy.  But if she's willing to offer, heck yeah I'll take that!  And then because it's my mom and she's a prefectionist and awesome she says that if I'm willing to help pay for the fabric she'll make all the jungle stuff plus the coornidating boy or girl stuff now while they have the fabric we like that way if our second baby is the other gender we'll already have the right bed skirt and curtains and what not to switch it from boy jungle to girl jungle (or vice versa).  Two nurseries!  My mom rocks!  I told her I'll buy all the fabric and pay her for her time if she's willing to do it all, mom just said, "oh just pay me back for some of the fabric and that will be plenty."  I love my mom!

My mom did this for DD.  She made a quilt, diaper stacker, monkey and pillow.  She found the patterns and beautiful Beatrix Potter fabric.  I think at some point the plan was blue ribbons if it was a boy, but since it ended up being a girl she sticked pink rosebuds all over it.  It is really beautiful.  It took a lot of work and came down to the wire, but I think she was stitching the rosebuds on in the hospital after delivery!  The stuff you buy isn't nearly as good quality, and this stuff is really special.

Your mom sounds like mine!  She is SO talented and a perfectionist on top of that!  She has already made me several "Belly bands" in different colors, and offered the nursery stuff too.  I don't know what I'd do without her! I do not have one ounce of her creativity and skills!
