Back pain...is this normal?

It has been going on since last week but I thought it was my period coming. I confirmed my pregnancy on Monday and Tuesday (two tests).  The pain is in my lower back, is this normal? How long does it last?

I am 5 weeks and 6 days and today is the first day I haven't had backpain.  Everything I have read says it is normal.  If you have cramping and bleeding like period blood with it, then it isn't normal, but otherwise just a wonderful sign of pregnancy!

With my 1st pregnancy, back pain was my 1st "symptom" (was way worse than usual for me) & lasted all the way through.

I saw a chiropractor shortly after the birth of my 2nd and had a lot of problems in the lower back and my left hip. After several treatments (popping, I hated it!) I was so much better, and even felt like I stood taller. The way I walked was definitely different. I plan on seeing him a few times throughout this pregnancy, just to make sure I stay aligned. I really don't want to go through back pain again, it's the worst. Hope you feel better soon!!

This is my 4th pregnancy and I have awful back pain this time around. I'm not showing or anything. All is well though. I'm a little afraid of how bad it may get when I do start to show. Good Luck!!
