Freezing soup?

I made a crock full of split pea soup yesterday, OMG it is amazing! How should I freeze it? It got super thick (why does soup do this?), so should I freeze it thick and add water when I reheat or add water to thin it and then freeze it?

I would freeze as is and then if you need to thin it once it is thawed, add liquid.

    Freeze as is :)

And I really need a nap because I thought your post title was "Freezing SOAP" and all I could think was HUH?!?

I would do this.  In a ziploc bag with the air smushed out.

yeah, ditto what everyone else said... it may thin out a little when you thaw it. (and FYI- add chicken or veggie stock to thin it... that way it adds a little extra flavor and won't taste like it's been watered down)
