We used the Diaper Genie II Elite (or something like that anyway).  Loved it.  Even with the cost of the refills, it was worth it IMO, and I'm usually a cheap mofo.

We use the same thing and love it. Also, I get the refills on Amazon using their Subscribe and Save program, and it really reduces the cost.

We use the Diaper Champ because it takes regular trash bags.

Safety 1st Diaper pail- $20, works great and you can use trash bags. I think we use 10gal? My husband is responsible for that part. You can buy the replacement air freshners at BRU but the last a long time. I found it to be less expensive than diaper genie.

Us too! We buy our refills at costco. We have been using way less since switching (mostly) to cloth though

Ditto!  LOL

We only use it for poopy diapers.  We empty it once a wk, so the refills we got at the shower have lasted us this long!  I haven't had to buy any yet.

FWIW, I never had one... never felt the need for one.

When they were tiny and pooping ALL the time, I set up a garbage can outside of their nursery window and just tossed the dirty diaps out the window.  Every night I would go out and tie it up.  Now they only poop once or twice a day and I just take it out as it happens (and most days they poop at DC)....  I'm way to anal to think about poop hanging around my house.

We never had one either!  We have a small place and their room isn't far from the kitchen, so we've always just tossed them in the trash.  That way we were only taking out one bag at the end of each day.  I get the scented trash bags....but still...there are days when it has to go out immediately!

Oh good... glad I wasn't the only one giggling over "anal and poop".

Yeah I learned about the garbage can idea out of a "dad book" that I got dh.  Best idea EVER.  To top it off, Dh thought it was really cool that he got to "launch poo" so he actually volunteered to change them.

I'll say it again, best idea EVER.  Oh yeah, DH and I have the same 10 year old boy sense of humor.
