We got to hear the heartbeat today so now I feel comfortable telling my 5th grade class that I am pregnant! Excited to see their reactions!! I will share if there are any cute responses.

That is exciting. I look forward to hearing how it goes. I am still trying to think of how to tell my principal ( I am new to the district this year). As for my students I think I am going to try to sneek it pass them for a few more weeks. I don't want to worry them or the parents, because they just moved to my class last week (I was hired a week into school because there were so many kiddos they needed another class).
I told my third graders yesterday. Some said they already heard??? And the rest had a lot of questions. They asked things like "Are you happy?" "Did you want a baby?" "Did your husband want a baby?" "Where did you meet your husband? (even though they already knew I was married)" It was funny. One student brought up that there were a lot of things I couldn't do. Another then suggested that we make a list. I told them that wasn't necessary.
They were cute and very curious. Then the stories came. "My mom wasn't happy when she was pregnant bc she has 7 kids and...."
