Tattoo's and TTC

I'm curious as to whether or not any of you ladies have any information about whether it's safe (or not) to get a tattoo while you're trying to conceive. I googled it, but what came up is answers to peoples yahoo questions about if it's safe DURING pregnancy, nothing about while you're trying to get pregnant. So I'm just wondering if any of the experts on here have any info you can toss my way.

I don't think I would get one during the 2WW either if they say it isn't safe during pregnancy, I'd just assume in the 2WW would be the same but I have no evidence to support either of these theories. TIA!

I've gotten 2 since TTC. My tattoo artist new and aid it's fine. You just don't want to get one once you're pregnant. I personally wouldn't in the 2WW, though.

Perfect, thank you! I figured the 2WW would be the same as if you're pregnant but I was hoping it wasn't an issue during the rest of your cycle. I've been dying to get another one and was hoping someone in bump land knew. Thanks BP!

Dont stop living your life while TTC. If you would drink while TTC, getting a tattoo isn't going to be much different. Just don't do it when you're actually pregnant.

What kind of tattoo are you thinking about? Pip?

I don't have an exact picture yet as my friend is currently working on the sketch but the concept is a hummingbird in flight and behind him and above his wings will be the words Hope, Love, Joy, Celebration, Laughter, Grace and the words will look (in theory) like they are trailing behind the hummingbird. As if he is pulling them or carrying them.

I read a little saying once that says: 

Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation.

I love this and was trying to think of a way that I could turn it into a tattoo that I'd always have with me. Instead of just getting all of it tattooed on me, I thought of the above.  Hoping the artwork turns out to what I have imagined in my head though!
