Today was nuts.  I had my second glucose test of the pg (after BARELY passing #1 earlier) so that sucked, and then to top it off I had gained 12 lbs this month. I've been really trying to be good about watching my blood sugars, etc as I *know* they've been creeping up, and this was the same time when I had a huge weight jump with my DD.  Plus I had sugar in my urine. It's insane.  I just think this time is going to be insulin for me....which I know isn't the end of the world but I just needed to mope  =(

 I did so well with my DD an only gained 22 lbs. He wanted me to only gain 20 this time, and I'd done so well but now I'm up 27 overall  =(

I'm sorry--mope away!  Did you have GD with your first pregnancy?

I will mope along with you.  I don't have GD...but I am getting frustrated with my weight gain.  Dr only wants me to gain 10-15, and I think I am going to hit the 15 total at my next appt.  I was doing great in between the last visit and this one...then all of a sudden the scale jumped 3 lbs in one day...I am hoping it's just water weight and chugging water like it's my job before Thursday.

I am pretty sure I will end up above the 15 over in the end of it all...so I am doing my best to make sure it doesn't go crazy over.  I know he gave me the guidelines to be healthy and make it easier in the end...so I really want to do my best.

Iris, I did have GD the first time around, plus I have PCOS and am insulin resistant anyway from that....I'm a walking sugar time bomb basically.

I test in half an hour to get my post dinner number.  We'll see how that is after having the drink this afternoon and that should give me a rough idea of how bad things are  =(
