What is your ideal family?

If fertility and money and all that other nonsense wasn't an issue.

Re: What is your ideal family?

  • We'd have six kids all close in age, like having no more than 2 years between each child.

DH would do the working, I'd SAH with my children.  They would all be homeschooled but still active with other kids their age.

  • 4 kids about 2-3 years between each kiddo and I would work PT and SAH PT. DH would work and kiddos would do parents' morning out type situation.

  • We'd have 3 in my perfect world, 2 in dh's. I'm hoping we can make dh's happen. We have a DD, so just to experience all the possibilities I'd like #2 to be a boy, but just being here will do. I also feel like my loss counts as a child although I was 'only' 12w, which in a weird way makes me feel at peace about having 2 kids here because I'll have all 3 in spirit.

  • Just two. I think.

But, so far, I love being pregnant. SO if I could have a nanny (that would work along side me and NOT in place of me) I'd perhaps have more. I'd just want someone to help me keep an eye on them.  So, really, more of a mother's helper than a 'nanny'

  • 2. But, if we have more than that, I'd want 4. I like even numbers.

  • I really would like 3 kids, but DH only wants 2.  I've always wanted twins and they run in my family (32 sets of twins in the last 4 generations that we have counted)...so I'm hoping for that so I can have the 3 total! :)

  • I would love to have 4. Close in age maybe 14-18 months apart. I would be a SAHM until the last one is 10 then finish college then work PT.

  • If I was better at pregnancy and had the money to hire a mommy's helper (especially during the nights) I'd have 4.

My sister has 4 kids and I think it's the perfect family. She has 2 girls that are 13 months apart and 2 boys that are 2 years apart. Each kid has his/ her own buddy.
