How was everyone's first day, if it was today?
I am EXHAUSTED. I wanted to punch everyone that told me they were "so tired!" today! I'm used to taking 1-2 naps every day, and I had the craziest, busiest day I think I've ever had at school. I'm a middle school special ed teacher, and I got a tentative schedule a couple of weeks ago. I went to the office today to pick up a new schedule, and it was so crazy in there that I couldn't even get it, so I had to just follow my older schedule. I guess it was correct. Anyway, it was just nuts...I have 5th graders and they had no clue where they were supposed to be, so it was a day of running around, making sure everyone was in the right spot and not having a nervous breakdown, and running back to my room to make sure my more severe student was okay too.
So, so tired. I have to do some work tonight but I just don't want to look at it. I want to run away and never come back!
Re: Teachers...first day back?
I feel your pain! I teach high school and today was extremely exhausting. I had a doctor's appt after school today and I fell asleep in the waiting room.
And also, my stomach was growling constantly, and I had to pee every 20 mins.
It's going to be a long year. Can't wait until March
Hang in there!

We've been back for 2 school weeks now. We just moved into a new school--about 2 weeks before school started...so things were hectic trying to move in, unpack, go to training, set up a new room...all being super tired.
However, now that I've been back, I am starting to not feel as tired at the end of the day as I did the last 2 weeks. In my experience, it will get easier once you get back into the swing of things.
